These paintings represent the "Manifestations of God" who have appeared since Adam. In the Cycle of Prophecy they are shown as lighted objects or mirrors who have appeared to mankind from the beginning of time until the passing of Baha'u'llah in 1892 (The nine sided object represents Baha'u'llah). In the Cycle of Prophecy and the Cycle of Fulfilment, the Adamic Cycle is shown lighted, while an infinitesimal number of objects remain un-lighted, symbolizing the Manifestations from God that will appear to mankind as part of the Era of Fulfillment of Baha'u'llah, which is to last for five hundred centuries, until another cycle appears. |
